A Boost for the Ultimate Energy Bar

The fact is, we don’t typically associate energy bars with great taste, even given that formulation developments over the years have made palatable improvements. One customer of ours was in a predicament. They had formulated a nutrient-dense energy bar, but couldn’t find a way to mask the bitter and metallic taste of the vitamins and minerals, branched chain amino acids and polyphenolic compounds.

Maxx quickly arrived at a solution that microencapsulated all of the branched chain amino acids as one blend. And after trialing several prototypes, the customer opted to microencapsulate their entire blend with our solution to be most cost-effective.

In the end, the customer was able to bring to market a tasty, chewy energy bar that is still in high-volume production today.
