Optimizing a Noxious Irritant Powder Blend for Weight Management

How do you handle red pepper, capsaicin and other noxious ingredients that arrive in individual packages and require blending in specific proportions? Why, you microencapsulate, of course!

Maxx rose to the challenge for a contract manufacturer whose goal was to deliver a sustained-release blend packaged in a sachet and used as a sprinkle-on to speed metabolism, reduce fat tissue, and suppress appetite.

We innovated a handling system that allowed all of the noxious ingredients to be blended together, then microencapsulated the blend. It worked wonders—masked the spicy taste (to keep burps at bay) and improved bioavailability, too.
